Some more about me is that I have recently entered a new stage in my life, empty nesting and retirement is looming in the near future!

Our daughter and grandaughter had been living with us for the past two years while their Marine had been in training and then was deployed.  They have since been reunited and have moved away to his next duty station and it is very quiet!!  I know there are a lot of you that know how I feel:)

All of our children live at least 45 minutes away, with our oldest being almost two hours away, so we don’t see any of them as often as we would like.  That means I have some time on my hands, even though I work full-time. I still have some evenings and weekends to fill in the quiet of having no children or grandchildren running around!

My Therapy-

That’s where this blog comes in.  Why not document the journey of this new stage of my life as well as share a few other things along the way.  My passion is card making with some scrapbooking, writing and DIY.  These things make me happy and calm.  I have a fairly stressful job so creating is my therapy!

Something else about me is my most recent obsession, acrylic painting.  My father is a really talented painter, but I’ve never really been interested in it until I attended a wine and canvas class during a recent vacation.  Wonder what took so long?  Maybe it was the wine? hmmm

Anyway, welcome to my blog, thanks for visiting About Me and I hope you find something you like!  I would love to hear from you all and what you think of My Therapy and what you all use for your therapy!:)
